Vegetables with Vegetable Dip
Use a variety of vegetables such as carrots, celery, cucumbers, radishes, broccoli, cauliflower, etc.
Let the children help wash and prepare the vegetables

1 pint sour cream
1 pkg. regular Ranch Style dressing
Mix these two ingredients well. Chill till served.

Watergate Salad
1 pkg. instant pistachio pudding
20 oz. can crushed pineapple and juice
8 oz. Kool Whip
1 cup miniature marshmallows
½ cup pecans, chopped
½ cup cherry halves
Mix all ingredients together and chill.
Note: Tastes better the second day.
Wild Blueberry Muffins
The children are wild about blueberry muffins and the easiest thing to do is buy the package mix and let the children help make them. The are especially good right out of the oven.
Wacky Cake
1 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1.2 tsp. salt
3 T. cocoa
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 T. vinegar
5 T. melted shortening
1 cup lukewarm water
Sift flour, baking powder, soda, salt, cocoa and sugar into ungreased 8" X 10" pan. With the back of the spoon, make three large dents in the dry mixture.
Put vanilla in one dent, vinegar in one, and melted shortening in the third dent. Pour lukewarm water over and mix thoroughly in the pan, stirring until well blended and smooth.
Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes, or until cake is done.
May be eaten as is or may be frosted.

X-tra Special Cheesecake
Crust: 1 pkg. (5 1/3 oz.) graham crackers
¼ cup sugar
½ cup (1 stick) melted margarine
Cake: 3 – 8 oz. pkgs. cream cheese, softened
4 eggs
1 cup sugar
1 T. vanilla
1 pint sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla
½ cup sugar
For crust, break crackers into quarters into work bowl of processor with metal blade. Process with short pulses to make fine crumbs. Add sugar and process about 2 seconds until combined with crumbs. With machine running, add melted margarine and process until it is absorbed by the crumbs. Line bottom of a 10-inch springform pan with crumb mixture, packing it down firmly.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
For cake, in work bowl, process 1 pkg. of cream cheese and I egg until combined. Without removing mixture process the same ingredients twice more. Add the remaining egg, 1 cup sugar, and 1 T. vanilla. Process thoroughly. Scrape down the sides of the work bowl and process another 5 to 10 seconds. Pour over crust and bake for 45 to 50 minutes.
Process sour cream, sugar, and vanilla until thoroughly combined. Spread topping on cake and return to oven for an additional 10 minutes. Cool cake . Wrap in plastic wrap; refrigerate at least 4 hours. Just before serving, remove sides of pan
