Pumpkin Pie (Fresh)
Cut pumpkin in half. Cut off stem. Clean out the seeds and pulp. Place each half flesh side down on a cookie sheet. Bake in a 250 degrees oven for 1 to 2 hours, depending upon the size of the pumpkin. Test for doneness as you do for potatoes. Remove from oven. Peel off the outer skin. Put the pumpkin flesh through a blender. Use fresh pumpkin following the recipe for a canned pumpkin pie. Excess may be frozen for use later.
Pizza
Provide pizza toppings – browned hamburger, pepperoni, browned sausage, sliced mushrooms, sliced onions, green pepper, sliced olives, mozzarella cheese, etc.
Provide pizza sauce – any jar type will work.
Using canned biscuits, let each child roll out his own pizza crust on a floured surface. Let each child choose various toppings and put such on his/her own pizza.
Bake in a preheated 450 degree oven for approximately 8 to 10 minutes or until done.
Serve warm.
